I’m frequently asked what the benefits of servicing safe locks are and a good example of why came up recently.
The customer had come to me after they were completely unable to open their safe and access the contents, even though they had the keys! Upon inspection, i found that the lock was full of debris and congealed grime. This had rendered the keys useless and so required me to gain entry to the safe, remove the lock and service it so that i could return it to a usable state.
Of course I was happy to help, but this costly emergency situation could easily have been avoided by a regular service interval being implemented.
